Wedding: The Veil

The traditional veil can be very short with a double tier, the so-called birdcage veil or the American way, short, medium, long or very long (called cathedral veil and reserved for princely weddings).
The meaning of the bridal veil is different in various cultures around the world. In ancient Rome, the veil was worn by the bride as a symbol of good luck: During the ceremony it was also placed on the head of the groom, as if it intended to protect the couple. In the Middle Ages, it was common belief that the veil had the task of protecting the bride from evil spirits or from bad luck. In Japan, traditionally the veil is worn by the bride to hide her jealousy.
Did you know that in the south the bride’s veil will be as long as the number of the years of engagement ??? Each year corresponds to one meter, and yours … how long will it be??

The importance of the photographer

I’m not used to being the center of attention, because for me the protagonists are always and only the spouses wrapped up in my creations.
That’s why, when I was asked about the photos for this site, I was worried because I do not like to pose.
But Federica Ariemma thought of everything, she turned my office upside-down by getting my books, boxes and flowers in order, so as to coordinate the shades of the shots. My embarrassment vanished soon after, because Federica was able to put me at ease and grasp the magic of my work by providing me with some amazing photos.
This experience confirmed what I always recommend to my customers: choose your photographer carefully!
It is essential to find a reliable person, who knows how to get in tune with the spouses and who reflects the style you prefer. Today, photojournalism is popular, through which the photographer narrates the wedding by means of spontaneous shots. However, there are also those who prefer posed pictures, with more shots that have been carefully thought-up and constructed.
I cannot but recommend Federica Ariemma who, despite being a young girl, already has a wealth of experience in weddings, as evidenced by her portfolio. At the same time, I recommend Gianni di Natale, who together with his staff, made my wedding unforgettable, capturing every magical moment of that day. Together with Federica and Gianni, there are many talented photographers, but the important thing is to choose a person who is akin to your personality and your needs.
However, it often happens that the newlyweds, caught up in the enthusiasm, make hasty choices; It is good, therefore, to pay close attention to the photographer’s page and, above all, seek advice from the wedding planner.

Wedding: The Corsage

The Corsage, a floral bracelet of Anglo-Saxon custom, is now a must in Italy. The Corsage is a tribute to bridesmaids, maids-of-honor and mothers of the couple and sometimes it replaces the traditional bouquet! In addition to the wedding, this lovely bracelet is also used for 18th birthday parties!!

Weddings coming up soon

Are you still up in the air with plans for your wedding day?
Here are some ideas about the most popular themes of the moment, so that you can make it a perfect day!

GREENERY
Greenery, Pantone color of the year 2017, will be the protagonist of the flower arrangements.
Majestic arrangements rich in foliage, will replace the classic flower arrangements, giving the wedding an absolutely “natural” style.
The innovative idea is to use hanging arrangements, or alternatively, candlesticks adorned with a torchon of leaves.

BOHO
If you love informal and outdoor ceremonies, this is the style for you.
Natural chic flower arrangements, combined with lace and wood, are the key elements of this mood.
The centerpieces, however, can be made of simple jars or glass bottles, decorated with lace ribbons. Everything DIY.
Regarding the location, beaches or romantic country gardens are certainly the most suitable, in harmony with your needs and tastes.
Finally, do not forget that a bride in perfect bohemian style must always wear a delicate crown of flowers!

WATERCOLOR
It is a style that is not very common in Italy; it is characterized by the use of watercolors in order to make all the details of the wedding unique, starting from the invitations up to the wedding cake.
Regarding all the printed matter, in line with this theme, it is advisable to use a calligraphic font, combined with brush strokes in pastel shades to colour the paper.
Finally, the decorations can also be concentrated on a single element, such as a hand-painted plate or a pale-colored tablecloth.

TROPICAL
If your dream is a beautiful beach wedding, do it in a tropical style!
Hibiscus flowers, orchids and palm leaves, will make the flower decorations unique.
The shades of colour in tune with this mood vary, ranging from fuchsia, orange, turquoise and lime; but for a more glamorous touch, gold leaves can also be used.

VINTAGE
I am often asked to create a vintage-style wedding, but it is necessary to clarify the era of reference.
The 20s, for example, are characterized by black and gold fittings, with feathers and art deco decorations.
Alternatively, you can opt for a trip into the past, perhaps choosing a location such as the splendid Pietrarsa National Museum, or choose the nineteenth-century salons.
In this case, it would be possible to include extras dressed in period clothes among the guests.
